With Father’s Day just around the bend, we are excited to hear about the memories that will be created, especially in our Bridges at Preston Crossings community in Gunter, TX. Do you have a tradition that you celebrate each year? One such tradition was shared with us by a dad and his two sons. From the time the boys were able to swing a golf club, their dad always made a special occasion out of them playing golf together on Father’s day. The boys still recall stories of sunny skies, rolling green hills, fresh air, lost balls, sand traps, and a few to many mulligans. These same boys now share this tradition with their children. How fortunate it is to live where you can step just outside your home and have the signature Bridges Golf Course available to create lasting memories. Hole in one for Dad!
Another great tradition shared by a daughter and her dad is how they spend each Father’s Day riding horses. A passion they both adore. A day absorbing nature, from the smell of blossoming trail trees to the exhilarating sound of horse’s hooves breaking into a run, creates a lasting bond between generations. A major benefit of living in North Texas land country is there is plenty of room for horses. The Bridges Equestrian Center provides the perfect location for the equestrian enthusiast offering miles of well groomed trails, boarding and lessons. We expect many more memories to be built from experiences at this brand new facility.
We want to hear your stories. Please share what makes Father’s Day special for you, in the comment section below.
Happy Father’s Day!

Sunshine and two fantastic fun filled events! Last Saturday proved to be a day to remember, especially for those that attended the Rock Roll and Smile 5k Fun Run benefiting Operation FINALLY HOME recipients and the Grand Opening of the Bridges Equestrian Center in Gunter, Texas.
Going the extra mile or in this instance the extra 3.1 miles, Smiles Charity motivated the runners by providing entertaining bands along the trail. The hills were literally alive with blooming wild flowers and the sound of music. A great cause, gorgeous scenic trails and melodious tunes all made for a runner’s paradise.
The day’s enjoyment continued after the charity run and flowed over to the new Bridges Equestrian Center. The hay rides were a big hit, followed closely by the pony rides. With over 150 people touring the facility, staff at the center exclaimed excitement from all the positive feedback. Visitors were enthralled with the surrounding beauty and had not previously known that the Bridges was such a wonderful and unique community. After this exciting event, the Equestrian Center will surely be called home for some much loved horses.
